Name: Natatorium Park
Dates:
()
Biography/History: Natatorium Park delighted Spokane residents from 1889 until 1968. A Spokane Street Railway Company trolley line lured buyers to the new residential neighborhoods of Nettleton and Sherwood Additions. To encourage additional ridership, they created Natatorium Park at the end of the line. As many as 500,000 people each year danced, picnicked, laughed, screamed, and stuffed themselves full of popcorn at the west end of Boone Avenue along the river's edge.
