Biography/History: Ruth Anderson was born in Grundy Center, Iowa on 28 September 1908. 1910 US census: Ruth was 1 year old, living in Spink, SD with parents Orlando (carpenter) and Jessie A. Kulp and sister Valera (b. Iowa), age 7. 1920 census: Orlando, Jessie, Valera, Ruth, and brother Harold age 6 living at E. Hartson Ave, Spokane. Orlando doing general carpentry work. 1927: Ruth married Emery O. Anderson on 8 March in Wallace, ID. 1930 census: Ruth Anderson (and her dau) living with her parents Orlando and Jessie (and brother Harold) in Kennewick, WA. 1940 census: Ruth Anderson, age 32, ("married" is crossed out) and her 2 children (Ruth age 12, b. ID and Robert, age 4, b. WA) living in E Spokane with her sister Valera Wood (teacher and head of household), their brother Harold, and Valera's daughter Shirley age 10. Ruth's occupation: "egg breaker" at Wholesale Creamery. Ruth and Emery must have been divorced by 1940; Emery remarried in 1948. Ruth died on 28 July, 1998 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.
