Physical Description: | Sandwich board-style sign made from two sheets of 24" x 48", 3/4 inch plywood, hinged at the top with two piano hinges, painted white (now yellowed) with red lettering which reads "PAST-TIME" Feminist Book Center S. 151 Lincoln". |
Description: | From 1973 to 1977, Spokane's Past-Time Feminist Bookstore set out this sidewalk sign during its open hours. Owner Marion Moos supported a full range of church, education, political and health activities, and was especially active with the state's 1977 International Women's Year conference that developed a timetable for removing state barriers to equality. Moos continues her activism for civil rights and social causes. |
