The sashing is pink and white with nine-patch blocks in the intersections. The color scheme includes pink, lavender, yellow, peach, blue, green, and cranberry. |
Description: | Sarah Elizabeth Garoutte Greenlee was born in Missouri in 1876, but moved to Washington in 1918 when she and her husband bought a farm near Spangle. After her husband's death in 1936, Sarah moved to Spokane, which is likely where she made the top of this colorful Dresden Plate quilt. It was hand quilted in the 1950s by her daughter, Bertha Greenlee Hall. Sarah died in 1956. |
