| Biography/History: | Bertha Greenlee was born in 1902 to Sarah (Sadie) Elizabeth Garoutte and Burton (Burt) Greenlee, the third of four children. The Greenlee family migrated from Texas to Washington, purchasing a farm near Spangle, in 1918. Bertha attended Cheney Normal School and then taught for a few years before marrying Clarence Hall, a Spangle farmer, in 1927. The couple had four children. Bertha Hall died in 1984 and is buried in the Spangle Cemetery with her husband Clarence. |
