Physical Description: Long sleeved, collared shirt with wrist cuffs and a pocket with a button-down flap on each chest is made from heavy duty khaki tan cotton twill fabric. Buttons are brown. There are patches on each pocket, one of which represents the Emergency Service Corps. There are five gold stars above the proper left pocket. The words "Explorer Scouts B.S.A, Senior Scouts B. S. A., Boy Scouts of America" are embroidered onto cotton tape, which is sewn to the shirt above the proper right chest pocket. The troop numbers are sewn high on the proper left sleeve, as well as a green patch.
Description: A 1944 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, Spokane resident Henry Odean achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. On graduating from high school, Odean enlisted in the US Navy, serving for two years as a Signalman 3rd Class in the South Pacific. While in the Navy, Henry recalled entertaining his fellow sailors with his knot-tying prowess, a skill he mastered as a Boy Scout in Spokane.
