Physical Description: Sash is of heavy olive drab cotton twill fabric. Blue and gold corded epaulet is attached at top of sash. 28 circular badges are sewn in rows on front of sash, as well as 2 rectangular badges. There are 2 gold pins attached to the sash above the badges. There are several patches sewn to the back side of the sash.
Description: A 1944 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, Spokane resident Henry Odean achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. On graduating from high school, Odean enlisted in the US Navy, serving for two years as a Signalman 3rd Class in the South Pacific. While in the Navy, Henry recalled entertaining his fellow sailors with his knot-tying prowess, a skill he mastered as a Boy Scout in Spokane.
