Physical Description: Double sided ribbon attached to lapel pin that says "Royal Highlander Quartette." On one side ribbon is green, red and white plaid with silver letters and silver trim and fringe. Symbolic medallion hangs by a wide ribbon from lapel pin. On reverse side ribbon is black with silver lettering.
Description: Four sisters, born in Scotland and Ontario, Canada, arrived in the Inland Northwest by the early 1880s and performed in Scottish costume throughout the Northwest and British Columbia as the "Dudley Buck Quartette, the "Singing Scott Sisters," and possibly the "Royal Highlander Quartette." The young women were especially proud to sing at the 1896 St. Louis World's Fair.
