It was also an era of cocktail parties and Cotillion balls that introduced young women to society. For leisurewear Moms copied the bright cotton day dresses of their college-age, saddle-shoed daughters. Children's clothing echoed the serious styles of their parents and the gender specific activities of young girls and boys. |
