An older brother Edward had emigrated earlier with Rosina's nephew Paul Maurer (son of Rosina’s sister, Eliza Reider Maurer). Paul met Rosina's family at the station with a wagon pulled by four horses and took them to his homestead near Cheney. Rosina later lived in Colfax and Pine City (1898). Ida Starkey lived and worked as a chambermaid at Spokane's Pacific Hotel, 730 First St. from 1900 until she married miner, Joseph Ferman Pasold, on May 8, 1901 at First Methodist Church. Their children: Walter (1902, died age 6 mos.), Gladys Pasold (1904-1998) and Joseph Ferman Pasold (1906-1964). After her husband's death in 1924, Ida began working at the Davenport Hotel until her retirement. In 1961 she moved to San Fernando CA to live with daughter Gladys. Ida died there June 18, 1971 and is buried at Fairmount Cemetery.
