Biography/History: Heidi Oberheide is an eastern Washington/Palouse area artist. Oberheide is inspired by the open spaces, unique vegetation, desert, canyons and mountains of the West. She received Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from Southern Illinois University. In 1990 Oberheide was awarded a Western States Arts Foundations/NEA Fellowship in painting. She has shown at Compton Union Gallery, WSU, Pullman, Linda Hodges Gallery, Seattle, Holter Museum of Art, Helena, Missoula Museum of the Arts, and Prichard Art Gallery, Moscow, Idaho. Oberheide's work can be found in numerous public collections including Toronto Dominion Bank, Ontario; National Gallery, Ottawa, Ontario; Province of Newfoundland and Labrador; Missoula Museum of the Arts, Montana; Microsoft, Seattle, and Safeco Corporations, Seattle.
