Biography/History: | Carl A. Morris was born in California on May 12, 1911. He was a student at the Chicago Art Institute, Kunstgewerbschule, and Akademia der Bildenden Kunste, Vienna. His awards include a scholarship to Kunstegewerbschule in 1933, a scholarship to Akad. der Bildenden in 1934, and a fellowship at Fondation des Etats-Unis in 1935. His one-man exhibits include an exhibit at the Paul Elder Gallery, in San Francisco in 1937. He also exhibited at the Oakland Art Museum in 1937 and the Chicago Art Institute in 1938.
