Physical Description: Abstract painting, mostly red, black, lavender. Symmetrical. Stripes (vertical) on left and right - yellow, black, red on left and dark purple, red on right. Center is bright red with explosion of thick brush strokes of black, lavender. Drips and splashes of red, lavender and small strokes of blue on right.
Description: Carl Morris was the first head of the WPA Art Center in Spokane. He went on to become an important Northwest painter in the 1950's and 1960's.
