| Biography/History: | Dennis Meiners was born August 24, 1950 in Walla Walla, WA and he now lives and works with his wife, Leslie Lee, at their home/studio/artist retreat, Hummingbird Studios, near Jacksonville, Oregon. He grew up on a wheat farm in Walla Walla, WA. He received his BFA in 1973 from Washington State University in Pullman, WA. He spent 1979 to 1980 doing research in Ceramics at the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts. He also taught classes at Oregon College of Art and Craft and Portland Community College. Dennis' work is known for highly textured surfaces and metaphoric content. |
