| Biography/History: | Ruby Short McKim is known for her embroidery patterns and series quilt designs, which were syndicated in numerous newspapers in the U.S. and Canada. Between 1916 and 1937 she published 23 series quilts. She was a 1912 graduate of the New York School of Fine Arts, which is now the The New School's Parsons School of Design. She and her husband ran a mail order business from their home in Independence, Missouri from which they also sold quilt kits. |
