Biography/History: Robert Helm was born in Wallace, Idaho in 1943. He recieved his M.F.A. from Washington State University in 1969. He currently lives in Pullman, but his work is more commonly seenin Berlin, Los Angeles and New York. His paintings are in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C., among many others.-- Spokesman Review, Sunday, May 3, 1992. He was recently awarded the Governor's Arts Award for Excellence in this state. HE is the recipient of the annual "Awards in teh Visual Arts" national invitational exhibition.
