| Biography/History: | Sweet William Case (1820-1898), was born in Columbia County, New York. He later moved to St. Anthony (now part of Minneapolis), where he and his father opened the first store in 1851. Ethel Case Hoyt, who lived in Spokane for many years, donated a coverlet to the museum associated with Sweet William Case. |
