Title: | White Fence (Autumn Equinox) |
Object Type: | Painting |
Participants: | |
Physical Description: | Framed oil painting on canvas of a white house, white fence, and tree with autumnal colors; the white house is in the background and the white fence separates the house from the tree. The image is signed in the bottom right corner with brown paint. |
Description: | Though the object was recently re-framed by Safeco in 2007, the new frame has the gold gilded inner edge in order to honor the memory of the artist, who according to the artist's daughter used to attach "little pits of gold leaf... that she considered that little bit of gold as her signature touch on her paintings" (cited from email from Anne dated 11/2/2007 in the artist file). |
