Description: | Marion Blanc attended classes at the Spokane Art Center, where she created this lithograph, "The Old Pasture," depicting industrial smoke stacks that replaced fields. Funded by Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal, the Spokane Art Center was a dynamic force in the community between 1938 and 1942, enrolling hundreds in free art classes taught by prominent American artists. |
