Description: After Amasa Campbell's death in 1912, Grace and Helen made annual trips "back East" to New York and Boston, as well as to California, staying for several weeks during the winter months to enjoy theater, music, shopping, and visits with family and friends. On April 1, 1914, Helen's diary noted that Grace had a photographic portrait (MAC Collection L84-187) made at Hill's studio in New York City. Although her diary makes no mention, Helen also had this portrait taken at Hill's, wearing a dress by New York designer Eugenie.
