Description: | Female fashion displayed progressively more of the body as the 1920s evolved. Hallmarked by beads and silk chiffon, evening dresses pioneered low-cut necklines and even back-less styles. Their hemlines moved up to knee-length by the middle of the decade and descended again by 1928. Bruck-Weiss on New York's West 57th St. sold this opera cape. |
