Description: "King" Evanoff trained as a tailor in Bulgaria but, arriving in the Northwest, found himself digging Idaho's Taft Railroad Tunnel and saving funds for his family to emigrate. Evanoff eventually opened tailor shops in Malden and then Spokane, where clients of all types selected styles and fabrics from his fashion and swatch books.
