Physical Description: Gorham hand-chased sterling silver cup, with three ivory handles, the monogram "LMD", and the inscription "With the loving regard of your fellow trustees of Spokane and Eastern Trust Company, August 30, 1906".
Description: Louis M. Davenport left a grand legacy in the form of his 1914 Davenport Hotel, which continues to offer high quality service to Spokane visitors. Like other community leaders, Davenport complemented his business activity with civic service. This 1906 loving cup honored his role as trustee of the Spokane and Eastern Trust Company. He and other leaders also drew Boston's renowned Olmsted Brothers to the Inland Northwest to design parks and residential landscapes.
