The fabrics include wool suiting, satins, silks, plaids, a paisley print, and neckties. It is tied together with yellow woolen yarn. There is a wine-colored 2" wide inner border and a 1 1/2" wide outer red border. |
Description: | Cheerful red squares, plaid rectangles, varied prints, and yellow yarn ties enliven this quilt, probably made in Spokane, WA around 1900. Its design is a variation of the "Log Cabin" pattern known as "Courthouse Steps." |
