Description: More than thirty quilters from Washington, Oregon and Idaho participated in an outdoor quilting bee during Spokane's Expo '74. With the help of visitors, they completed this quilt and five others during the six-month run of this 1974 fair. The patterns in this quilt were selected either because they were common or because the pattern names had a relationship to the Northwest or to a World's Fair. Quilters were encouraged to choose their own color combinations for the blocks.
