Description: | In 1898 the Campbells contracted Cleveland interior decorator William Otis to specify furnishings for their new Spokane home. Otis selected high-quality wallpapers, floor coverings, window treatments, and major furnishings typical of those found in the homes of wealthy late 19th century families. The Library featured a gothic revival style including green silk velour draperies embroidered with heraldic medallions of red suede and brass wire. The original draperies and some of their brass-wrapped wooden drapery rods are still in place. |
