Physical Description: Candy box, cardboard with printed exterior in white, blue, black and red. This box is assembled and is missing its left end flap and left side tabs. A previous owner has tried to support the box in its assembled state using a block of wood (2x4) and folded paper. This support is glued in. Front: White border is printed around edge, a rectangle on the left side contains a photograph of a young child (J. F. Geary) on a red scooter. A box of Kiddy Kandy rests as his right foot. To the right of this inset is the candy name and related motifs. At the top is the Davenport coat of arms printed in white, red with black detailing. Below that is a banner with the words "DAVENPORT'S" printed inside. Below that is printed: "Kiddy Kandy SPOKANE U.S.A." A white dog with black markings faced the boy. The rest of the dog's body is printed on right end flap. Right flap: mid and tail section of white dog with black markings whose head is on the front of the package. A string is tied to his tail. Back: The string tied to the dog's tail extends across the back panel and is tied to the handle of a pail, probably supposed to be honey in the bottom right corner of the panel. The main body of the panel is a picture of two young children looking at a sign. The older child on the right holds a box of Kiddy Kandy behind his back with his right hand. The younger child on the left holds a rag doll by its arm in his/her right hand. The sign they are looking at reads: "Davenport's Kiddy Kandy is sweetened with pure Washington Honey. I know. I saw it made. Jimmy. Davenport's Kandy Kiddy." Under the sign and behind it grow little flower that must be pollinated the by bees that fly from the hive behind the sign. The hive sits on a four-legged pedestal and bees fly up from the hive and into the sky. Top: View of the Davenport Hotel from a street corner. Inscriptions: "HOME OF THE DAVENPORT CANDY COMPANY, SPOKANE U.S.A." "DAVENPORT HOTEL" is printed inside a banner motif under the hotel design. Bottom: printed blue Left end flap: detached. Front view of white and black dog sitting. To his left is a portion of the honey pail design extending from the back panel.
