Physical Description: Rectangles of blue, green, grey, brown, and black wool were stitched together to make this piece, which is tied together with white, yellow, and red yarn. There is a maroon border. The backing is a blue, green, and white plaid.
Description: Colorful yarn ties and a maroon border brighten up this practical piece made of wool. It is attributed to Susan Arnst (1842-1928) and was probably made around 1900 for her grandson, Henry Arnst (1900-1927). Susan and her husband, Henry Jacob Arnst, homesteaded near Ritzville during the early 20th century.
