Title: Woman's Bathing Suit

Physical Description: Woman's one-piece bathing costume of black taffeta with black satin edging. Blousoon bodice has front button closure and accented with a red ribbon tie. The rounded collar of linen may have colored with age. Waist is elasticized, gathered; three apron panels for a slitted skirt that covers bloomers that are elasticized at each knee and decorated with the same red ribbon at the top of each slit, front and back. Cap sleeves have two buttons on top of each sleeve; the buttons on the proper right sleeve are taffeta covered and the buttons on the proper left sleeves black but are not fabric covered; the buttons that run up the front of the costume match the buttons on the proper left sleeve.
Description: Gayle Engle, donor, acquired 1910 bathing suit for .98 cents at Spokane's Goodwill.
