| Description: | Josephine Crouch crocheted a unique interpretation of a late Victorian-style shirt-waist and skirt. She was 38 when she married William Sweet, a Freeman, Washington farmer, in 1895. Soon after their marriage they traveled to the East coast where her husband conducted political business. Josephine made the dress to wear to social gatherings there. |
