Physical Description: Twenty-eight blocks, each constructed from four right-angle triangles, are separated by white sashing. The sashing is inscribed with names, dates, and places. Right-angle triangles are placed along all four edges and in two of the corners. A wide range of print fabrics, including florals, "Winnie-the-Pooh", animals, dolls, butterflies, and plaids, was used to make the blocks.
Description: Rachel Katherine Chamberlin Miner wanted to make a family quilt, but her health did not allow it. So, family members made two quilts for her in honor of her 85th birthday. This one was quilted by women in Castle Rock, Washington. Rachel Miner was born in 1897 in Oklahoma Territory and lived in Spokane for many years. She died in 1995.
