Physical Description: Teal crepe mid length rayon evening dress with short sleeves; bodice is trimmed with grey sequins and beads. Metal side zipper, covered button at neck (back).
Description: During wartime rationing, designers created slim lines with simple fabric and limited applied accents. Sargent Robert Mumford purchased this evening dress at Spokane's Crescent department store in December of 1948. His wife Bessie wore it to the last enlisted men's Christmas party held at Fort George Wright army base before the base moved to Fairchild in 1949.
