Biography/History: Wesley Wehr was born on April 17, 1929 in Everett, Washington. He recieved his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Washington. He also studied under painter Mark Tobey. He is the curator of Paleobotony and research associate in Paleontology at the Washington State Museum. He studied verse writing with Theodor Roethke, RIchard Eberhart, and Elizabeth Bishop. He has also studied abroad in England, Holland, France, and Switzerland. He worked and resided in Seattle. He mostly used wax crayons and occasionally he added pastels. He also created meticulous ink drawings.
