| Biography/History: | Theodore Irving Dalgliesh was a landscape artist who made is chief suffess as an etcher but who also painted in oils and water-colors. Born at Coventry on February 1, 1855, he became a pupil of Alphonse Legros about 1876, and began to exhibit at the Royal Academy in 1876. He was one of those active in the revival of English etching. |
