Biography/History: Geneva Sloan received her B.A. from the University of Chicago, Illinois in 1945 and her M.F.A. from the University of Idaho. She has shown her work nationally in over sixty exhibitions, including the Allied American Artists' Annual (New York), the 81st Annual Exhibition of Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute, the 10th Annual Exhibition of Contemporary Art at the Denver Museum of Art and the Benedictine Awards Exhibition in New York. She won awards in the former and the latter shows. She was one of three winners of the 1991 Fellowship Awards granted by the Idaho Commission on the Arts. Her woodblock prints have been purchased by the Random House publishing company in New York to appear on the cover of a book called "The Tall Tree" by Bruce Brown. Her woodblock prints have also illustrated two books of poetry published by the Cranium Press in San Francisco.
