Biography/History: | Patrick was born in Spokane, Washington in 1939. He spent his youth in western Washington, received his B.A. in 1961 from Washington State College, Pullman, WA and then moved to Berkley to attend graduate school at the University of California. Abstract Expressionism was the art of choice during his education, and it wasnt until after he recieved his M.A. in 1963, that he discovered a passion for drawing and ceramics. In 1973 he returned to Pullman to teach ceramics at Washington State University. Throughout his life, both drawing and ceramics have played a significant role.
