Biography/History: Sarah Chambers married, raised a family and lived her life in Ohio according to U. S. Census records; some of her family, however, migrated to Spokane, Washington. A niece, Rosella Grannis(1858-1939) had four children; the eldest child, (Lillian) May Grannis (1878-1968) married Herbert C. Jason. In 1920, the couple and their young son were living in Spokane, WA, where Herbert ran a piano store. A grand niece, Charlotte Ellen (1884-1980), married Paul W. Lange, a bank teller with Old National Bank in Spokane, WA. The couple, who were childless, appear in the Spokane census records from 1920 through 1940. Paul advanced to Chief Bank Clerk and Charlotte was a voice teacher. Charlotte donated a quilt made by her great aunt Sarah to the Eastern Washington State Historical Society.
