| Biography/History: | William Richards was born in 1954 in Evanston, Illinois and has lived and worked in or near Seattle since 1979. His early influences came from his physicist father. He received his BFA in Ceramics and Glass from the University of Minnesota, and he received his MFA in Ceramics from the University of Washington. He is known for his extremely thin and overly large ceramic platters as well as his subtle use of color and texture to create unique and drawing images in the clay. |
