Biography/History: Maltby Stevens & Curtiss Co. were electroplaters established at Wallingford, Connecticut in 1883, (successors to Maltby & Stevens founded at Shelton in 1880). The firm occupied the building of Hall, Elton & Co. under a sub-lease from Meriden Britannia Company. In 1887 the Pierrepont Silver Company of Seymour consolidated with this firm transferring to Wallingford its machinery for making German silver hollowware. The business was purchased in 1896 by Watrous Mfg. Co. and became part of International Silver Co. in 1898.
