| Biography/History: | Andrew L. Hofmeister was raised in Rosebud County Montana. He recieved his B.A. from the University of Montana in 1938 and his M.F.A. from Washinton State University in 1947. He was a professor of Fine Arts at Washington State University beginning in 1947. Exhibiting principally in the Northwest, his work has consistently appeared in the Northwest Annuals and the Northwest Watercolor Society Open Exhibitions, Seattle Art Museum; twenty-four year record of no rejections and twelve awards; was represented in the Northwest section at the Seattle World's Fair and in the Governor's Invitational Exhibitions since 1962; works are represented in both museum permanent collections and numerours prevate collections. |
