Born June 20, 1888 (Great Falls, MT); died Feb. 4, 1953 (Spokane), age 64. Brother of Wallace Hagin, Sr. (b. ca.1890, Great Falls; d. ca. 1954), and uncle of Wallace Hagin, photographer. Moved to Seattle, married Ethel Mae Cage (b. March 15, 1910 in OK); they moved to Spokane in 1930s. The family lived at 4449 N. Lidgerwood Ave; Russell was a self-employed contractor (hardwood floor finishing, painting) and automotive mechanic. He built their own homes at N. Lidgerwood and 827 Rockwell St. Russell had a daughter Lillian Hagin (b. ca. 1930) from a first marriage; she married Blackwell, owner of Blackwell & Chase Body shop before it became Chase & Dalbert Body Shop on Indiana St., Spokane. Russell and Ethel had a daughter: Ruslynne (Hagin) Seaberry: born July 30, 1932 (Spokane); died Aug.30, 2000, age 68. Attended Hamilton grade school; Rogers High School. Married in 1950 to Rev. Grady Brown of Spokane's Bethel AME Church. Returned to Spokane in 1999. Ethel moved to Kansas City after Russell died to live with her daughter Ruslynne.
