| Biography/History: | Lila Shaw Girvin is a native of Colorado. She received her B.F.A. from the University of Denver and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After moving to Spokane, she attended classes at WSU Spokane Extension and Fort Wright College. She has recieved purchase awards for the Washington State Art Exhibition in Wenatchee and the Women Painters of Washington, Seattle Art Museum. According to Girvin, "Painting is a way of saying something about myself and my respone to the universe." |
