| Biography/History: | Ruth (Bean) Fuller Irving, like hundreds of Spokane area residents, attended classes at the Spokane Art Center. Ruth (Bean) was educated and taught school in New England before moving to Illinois, where she graduated from the Chicago Art Institute. She earned her master's degree in art from Columbia University, returning to Spokane with her husband, Henry Fuller, where she taught art at Cheney High School. A lithograph donated to the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture by Robert O. Engard confirms that Fuller studied lithography at the Center. |
