Elizabeth Woody (Wasco/Warm Springs/Navajo) was born in Ganado, AZ. As of 1994 she lived in Portland, Oregon. She earned her bachelor's degree at the Evergreen State College, and studied creative writing at the Institute of American Indain Arts in Santa Fe, NM. She is an accomplished artist who has exhibited nationally since 1986. Woody is also a poet; her poetry appeared in the catalog for the "Submuloc Show/Columbus Wohs" touring exhibit. She was also a featured poet at the Geraldine Dodge Poetry Festival in Waterloo, NJ in 1992 and her work has been widely anthologized. She often collaborates with Joe Feddersen.
