| Biography/History: | James Clark, brother of Patrick "Patsy" Clark, married Charlett Wellman in 1883. Both were born in Ireland. Family lived on Coeur d’Alene Park at Spruce and 3rd in Browne’s Addition, Spokane, at least from 1900 to 1920 (US Census). James (born c.1848) listed his occupation as "Miner" on 1900 US Census. His brother Patrick (Patsy) Clark and family lived nearby at 2208 W. 2nd Avenue. James died 8 Aug 1901. Charlotte Clark died Jan 1922. Both buried in family mausoleum, Fairmount Memorial Park. Daughter Katherine was born c.1896 in Rossland, BC; married T. Edward ("Ned") O’Connell, in Spokane, 1924. They had 2 sons, Tom and Jim; Tom's widow Mary donated Charlotte Clark's Rosepoint lace wedding dress. |
