| Biography/History: | Alice Virginia Cross (1859 Kansas - 11 May 1931, Colville, WA) grew up in Missouri (1880 census); parents Levi and Sarah Cross. In Mar 1892 in Spokane, Alice married Millard Fillmore Belknap (1852 Benton, OR Terr. – 1926 Colville, WA). They were farming in White Lake, Stevens Co., WA by 1900. Alice’s father Levi was living with them there in 1910. Both Alice and George are buried in Latah, WA. Alice’s brother James Buchanan Cross (1857-1957) eventually lived in Spokane; married Ruth Elizabeth Clizer (ca. 1879-1953); both buried in Spokane. Their children: Lucille (married Grills) and Alvyn. (Note: name often spelled “Belknap” in public records.) |
