Summary: Artist Patrick Siler's pictorial narratives are crowded with characters and street scenes that seem familiar, nostalgic and distinctly American. Meet Me At the Spot features paintings, drawings, woodblock prints and ceramic works spanning Siler’s lifelong artistic career. “I want each element in my work to be clear, like a song where you can hear all the words…” Patrick Siler • Early ceramic works from UC/Berkley “pot shop,” and study with Peter Voulkos, c. early 70s. • Large scale works, including paintings, drawings and a ceramic wall shown @ EWSHS/CCM c. 1988 in a show titled: “Inland Northwest Masters.” • A selection of wood block prints shown with at least one of the carved printing blocks. • Ceramic plates and obelisk(s) produced during WSU teaching years • 8 foot ceramic pipe produced at Mission Clay Products Art + Industry artist residency program.
