Physical Description: World War II musette bag made of canvas. The main compartment has one large pocket and two pockets in the divider; there is one side pocket and a back pocket. The bag closes with two straps and has one long strap that can either be used as a shoulder strap or joined with metal loops on the back to be used as a backpack.
Description: Spokane's Betty Merchand was among over 150,000 women who served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. WAC members were among the first women other than nurses to serve within the ranks of the United States Army.
