Physical Description: | This quilt contains twenty-eight quilt blocks with multiple inscriptions, which are separated by sashing. The inscriptions represent various community agencies. The sashing fabric is a print with a medium blue background and small red flowers. Twenty pink squares are set within the sashing. Each pink square is quilted with a heart motif. The sashing fabric was also used for the border on all four sides and the binding fabric. The backing fabric is a print with a burgundy background and small mustard-yellow hearts and stars. |
Description: | This quilt represents some of the many agencies who partner with Spokane County United Way. Individual blocks were decorated with fabric paint, embroidery, markers, and applique to promote the message of "Caring for Our Community." |
