Description: | This machine was in use in Seattle in 1915 and was moved and used in Spokane in 1916. This machine was called the Iron horse because it never got tired. The tape was fed into the transmitter which sent messages and news to other cities. The tape has holes in it like that used on Wall Street tickers. The news and messages coming in from other cities went through the recieving end of the unit and to the "Automatic Typewriter. This automatic transmitter was available in 1910 |
